First up, awesome pics taken by tianjian ascuncion: Credits to the man! the last night in yale: forlorn-looking me doing my paper :(but actually I didn't start till the next morning; i was msning here)
Last glances from the common room before departing:
look! how boring my room was initially (if u rmb how I changed the layout in an earlier post)Time for some randomness: In the dining hall, at the tray racks voted best ice cream in New Haven and thoroughly deserves so a drive thru' atm great! maybe a drive-thru restroom in the near future?
Anyway, at Washington DC for a field trip, again thanks to USP: the Holocaust Museum recounting what a survivor said: Giving up is never the final solution (ponder ponder*)
the Vietnam War Memorial
A discussion at George Mason University's Center for History and New Media. http://chnm.gmu.edu/ (useful for teaching and learning & many fascinating exhibits) History will never be the same again with ever-advancing digital media and computer technology
Newseum (relocated 6 months ago to DC and is one of the few musuems here that do charge an entry fee, US20) an interactive museum of news and journalism dedicated to Gutenberg Bible - supposedly the first printed bible
9/11 Gallery As I watched the first-hand accounts and scenes of 9/11, an overwhelming feeling arose. An impact never realised then when I was just 4 days shy of my 13th.. (ponder ponder*) Perhaps I will never understand some things, but I know God is always in control. That is assuring enough.
To end this entry off, what else but food? The most memorable food here gotta be Potbelly Sandwiches. A bread meal that I actually craved for. That's something.
it's okay if you can't see the road ahead, just make sure God is still in sight!!
In His time, in His time,
He makes all things beautful in His time.
Lord, please show me every day,
As You're teaching me Your way,
That You do just what You say, in Your time.
In Your time, in Your time,
You make all things beautiful in Your time.
Lord, my life to You I bring.
May each song I have to sing
Be to You a lovely thing, in Your time.
