Hands straightened and relaxed, wrist held by the other hand.
If you tightened the trip on the wrist, your fingers will clenched naturally. You can control and avoid the reflex clenching but it's a struggle. Any momentarily distraction & your fingers lapse into the natural state.
Just let it be, suppressing doesn't equate to protection.
When thunder roared deafening, people get a shock and some cover their ears (if you don't hear it, you are perhaps safe).. hmm the latter probably applies more to the females and children or both, and it's perfectly alright for them to react this way.
Some little girls want to show that they are undaunted, even by the most deafening thunders. When the loudest thunder crashed, the only betrayal of expression from her is perhaps a cringe or a quick recovering action while other children (boys included?) continue to cover their ears in anticipation of the second one.
As the years go by, she realized that she's really afraid of the thunder & so what if she shows it. Maybe because adults should not be scared of loud thunders and she might be seen as over-reacting?
it's okay if you can't see the road ahead, just make sure God is still in sight!!
In His time, in His time,
He makes all things beautful in His time.
Lord, please show me every day,
As You're teaching me Your way,
That You do just what You say, in Your time.
In Your time, in Your time,
You make all things beautiful in Your time.
Lord, my life to You I bring.
May each song I have to sing
Be to You a lovely thing, in Your time.
