As I was saying, I won't be able to watch Euro '08 (no, SCV you can't earn the exorbitant fees from me).. because I will be going to New Haven, Connecticut for a summer school session!! =) & pending is a 5-month SEP next year..
Always wanted to leave & now that suddenly I'm really going to places, well I'm hesitant but still very much excited!! Perhaps cuz I be going alone and independence is a new word to explore.. Sometimes I wished that I have a close relative living overseas and that I could just leave everything here and join him/her there.. Carefreeness or irresponsibility? I couldn't care less.. okay maybe not but having memories (be it good or bad) in such a small place can be painful
Thank God for this opportunity. His presence was throughout the application process: giving me hope when I was making excuse not to do the essay (because I won't get into the program esp when priority given to Y2s); encouraging me through different people's prayers when I was faithless; granting me a place in this program when my interview was like so inadequate & for the current exchange rate =)
When others asked me about the interview, I could only lament how horrible it had been. Then a voice asked "Why do you have so little trust in Me?" "But I really didn't do well in the interview.." The same question was asked once again. When I was asked about the interview repeatedly, this question kept popping out.. Until when I reached home and my dad asked me about it, I just replied "I don't know.." Then out of nowhere, my mum congratulated me when she knew how 'well' the interview had been and she isn't exactly the encouraging type.. & I know it was a sign that I will be selected. During cell group, I was prompted to share with them. But you know, to share this before I knew the selection result would be quite embarrassing if I didn't get in later & the 'i' in my pride is quite strong. However, I responded to the second prompt and by faith I told them what happened before the results were known :) It's not about getting what I want but Him showing and reminding me to have faith in Him and what it means to do so.
Oh and if you haven't hear about it, there's a new donut outlet called j. co in town. Almost everyone is flocking there.. How fickle people can be? Anyway, also probably because the donut craze is fading, one can now get his/her donuts from donut factory immediately donut. Haha as for me, donut factory is where I will get my Singapore dosage but I am looking forward to dunkin' Krispy Kreme donuts heh!!
Left 2 weeks.. must try to eat all my fav foods before I am overwhelmed with bacon, burger and bread. Eg.
GWP durians! Don't try the brownie or the crepe combination tho', doesn't taste well tgt.
it's okay if you can't see the road ahead, just make sure God is still in sight!!
