Hmm this scene used to appear in my mind.

A mum and her young daughter was in a crowded bus, thus they were forced to stand. A kind passenger give up his seat to the girl, see how young she was. The girl was forced to take the seat by her mum. Now, the mum stood at the further end of the bus. The girl looked longingly at her mum. She had not want to sit down & be separated from her mum. On the other hand, the mum was happie that her girl could get a seat and need not be squashed and subjected to the jerky journey.

I think neither were wrong in their intentions. It is just that:
they both did not know what each other truly wanted.. Both thought what they want for each other was actually the best.

That's how we behave in our daily life, don't we?

Parents working hard, to provide better comforts for the family & as a result, often use material goods to 'atone' for the lack of time spent togeter.

Perhaps what a child ever wanted or needed most is not all the seemingly superficial stuffs but rather the warmth of the family, accompanied by actions and conscientious efforts.

However, growing up in such an environment will undoubtedly warrant a wrong thinking: that the amount of accessories we have represents the extent which we are loved or blessed. As such, when the parents finally realised that they should have spend more time with their children -- to understand them better, the child has no intention of doing so any longer.

I mean one's childhood is the most essential part of our lives. IT determines what we grow up to be & who that will always influence us. All parents should put an effort to spend as much time with their children when they are young (b/c that's the only time they can't choose who to spend time with :D lol) & also take the chance to be part of their growing up years. I believe once past that stage, no amount of time and effort will be able to reverse the relationship if it had gone straight all the while.

Before you want to do something for the sake of someone else, remember to consider not what's best for them but what they REALLY want. This means to understand each other better and the needs and desires than what's supposedly your idea of what's good and right.

Hmm perhaps im just thinking too much about an ordinary scene.. .. ..

maybe all the child ever wanted was the chance to talk together (but at a more appropriate timing eg: not when she's sleeping)
maybe she didn't answered you not because she did not want to talk but rather it is not what she wanted to talk about
maybe sometimes she just does not want to be disturbed, especially when she's in the middle of something else
maybe she knows that you have been busy that's why she rather not disturb you
maybe she is upset that you didn't rmb stuffs she mentioned before even tho' she repeated them alot of times; but be glad because deep inside, she knows you love her all the same and you have just been too busy about work and chores

the greatest MAYBE is she does not know how to show it -- her feelings!!
& she's trying real heart :p

it's okay if you can't see the road ahead, just make sure God is still in sight!!

In His time, in His time,
He makes all things beautful in His time.
Lord, please show me every day,
As You're teaching me Your way,
That You do just what You say, in Your time.
In Your time, in Your time,
You make all things beautiful in Your time.
Lord, my life to You I bring.
May each song I have to sing
Be to You a lovely thing, in Your time.
