watched Monster House le.. animation was seemingly real 'cept the expression on the characters. been a long time since i watched a cartoon cartoon.. kid's show are usually simple, touching & entertaining tho' sometimes it was on slightly spooky side. (!spoiler!) Nebbercracker was portrayed as the baddie while actually he was trying to protect his neighbours & his love. Behind the sinister smile, it was actually a melted heart. How many of us may appear aloof & nonchalant to conceal the softie inside?? perhaps it is to protect ourselves from our vulnerability in showing that we do care..

don't really like to watch chinese movies in theatres but once in a blue moon, I'll break this rule.. recently, it was The Banquet (chinese version of Shakespeare's Hamlet with a twist in the ending) haha came out of the cinema with a ???huh???.. want to blame on my less~than~perfect chinese also cannot because apparently I heard that some LEP students also don't understand..

PS: though Rob~B~Hood seems promising with the gongfu ( & the cutie babie), I shall stick firmly to my rule..

Saw the ad for Happy Feet(yep the 5 penguins on the mountain top).. it seems funny and will be screened in November.. haha just nice for post-'A levels' enjoyment.. then, happie vette will want to watch happy feet.. any happy soul to join her??

out goes the awful green..
here comes thenicer blue!
but of course, my ultimate aim is the cool black. :p
Oh no!! our future NS men??
a 9 year-old-boy who is in the same tkd class as me felt that it was unfair that I can do the easy (female) push-ups while he has to do the tough one.. our instructor told him it's because I am a girl & he's not.. here's the reply:
I don't mind being gay, you know! (his exact words)

it's a car..

NO..it's a premium taxi!!

Premium indeed.. at a starting meter of $2.80(but the seats r quite comfy)

Guess what these people are doing

waiting for the doors of the study lounge (NLB) to open

Hmm so early?? (9am)

Nah not b/c they are diligent.. is because they are true blue citizens.. CHOPE seats first!!

Alonso 2 recent 60-yard goals were considered to be one of the best. But I disagreed. Though it was a beauty, it was pretty much because of the looooooooong distance. Other than that, it seems like a normal strike. These are my top 3 (in no merit):

David Beckham

For a youngster in his debut season, that was sheer tenacity.

Roberto Carlos

watch the spin in slow-mo!

Ronaldinho

That was certainly no easy feat finding that precise spot past a world~class defense.

been a while since i felt so relaxed & tired (haha irony) like yesterday.. actually had something in mind but after some relentless walk around town, our wandering eyes caught sight of many other things (okiez i think mostly me & bathday ah gal).. in the end, i didn't get what i initially looked for but still, it was happie shoppie.. & a random "this kinda shirt looks good but don't think i will wear" and a random "Not why we each get one in different colours" (erhm i think i said both) resulted in this:
see the design better here..
chic right??
& i got a matching cap too :p

haha prelims ended early on monday(or rather yesterday) for me :D the next one week of hols seems to me like a prelude to the loooooooooooooonnnnng break after Nov 15 (this end very early too right?)
& these are what i have in mind for the 9months..

What I want to do:
~ Learn driving (Cher, let's see who gets the license first bleah :p) ; video-editing?? ; roller-blading
~ Finish my PE & SOL1 classes
~ Eat more homecooked food (hidden meanin')
~ Go for holidays
Romania, England, s.Korea & Madrid would be good.. haha i also want to go a place where it is snowy, mountainous and surrounded by beautiful scenery (like the Swiss Alps?) & stay in a cottage.. .. ..
okiez i will be practical.. perhaps to nearby countries??
~ Get a new phone!!
Haha a few models have caught my eye, but none has my heart ever since S700i. It is not that I am unhappy with my current hp but it's abit cranky. Previously, I've lost all my pics and videos b/c it decided to commit suicide suddenly. It loved to recharge itself too(!!without the help of a charger at all!!) Sometimes, it just refuses to function for minutes :X

What I may do:
~ learn motorcycling (heheheh) ; korean language ; piano ; yoga?? ; aikido

Oh no.. it seems that I am in my 'wanna be a jack-of-all-trades mood' again.. let's see which ones will survive.. Hmm but think that I won't even start on most of them if I were to work, which I am sure I will. To just play or work straight for 9 months will be a bore for me haha.

I have 2 'dream' jobs which I would like to do. However, one is quite impossible to get and the other one I need to ask around.. erhm given my shyness, may have to give it a pass too

*knock knock*

yesh i know that it is only Sept morn now.. still too early to talk about these right?? Life after 'A's is worth looking forward to.. (9MONTHS HOLS)

.
.

but till then, let me dream first.. :)

Hmm this scene used to appear in my mind.

A mum and her young daughter was in a crowded bus, thus they were forced to stand. A kind passenger give up his seat to the girl, see how young she was. The girl was forced to take the seat by her mum. Now, the mum stood at the further end of the bus. The girl looked longingly at her mum. She had not want to sit down & be separated from her mum. On the other hand, the mum was happie that her girl could get a seat and need not be squashed and subjected to the jerky journey.

I think neither were wrong in their intentions. It is just that:
they both did not know what each other truly wanted.. Both thought what they want for each other was actually the best.

That's how we behave in our daily life, don't we?

Parents working hard, to provide better comforts for the family & as a result, often use material goods to 'atone' for the lack of time spent togeter.

Perhaps what a child ever wanted or needed most is not all the seemingly superficial stuffs but rather the warmth of the family, accompanied by actions and conscientious efforts.

However, growing up in such an environment will undoubtedly warrant a wrong thinking: that the amount of accessories we have represents the extent which we are loved or blessed. As such, when the parents finally realised that they should have spend more time with their children -- to understand them better, the child has no intention of doing so any longer.

I mean one's childhood is the most essential part of our lives. IT determines what we grow up to be & who that will always influence us. All parents should put an effort to spend as much time with their children when they are young (b/c that's the only time they can't choose who to spend time with :D lol) & also take the chance to be part of their growing up years. I believe once past that stage, no amount of time and effort will be able to reverse the relationship if it had gone straight all the while.

Before you want to do something for the sake of someone else, remember to consider not what's best for them but what they REALLY want. This means to understand each other better and the needs and desires than what's supposedly your idea of what's good and right.

Hmm perhaps im just thinking too much about an ordinary scene.. .. ..

maybe all the child ever wanted was the chance to talk together (but at a more appropriate timing eg: not when she's sleeping)
maybe she didn't answered you not because she did not want to talk but rather it is not what she wanted to talk about
maybe sometimes she just does not want to be disturbed, especially when she's in the middle of something else
maybe she knows that you have been busy that's why she rather not disturb you
maybe she is upset that you didn't rmb stuffs she mentioned before even tho' she repeated them alot of times; but be glad because deep inside, she knows you love her all the same and you have just been too busy about work and chores

the greatest MAYBE is she does not know how to show it -- her feelings!!
& she's trying real heart :p

read about a lesson on unconditional love in today's forum.
to love until it hurts is to love and love more..
"you find true joy and happiness in life when you give and give and go on giving and never count the cost" (quoted from Eileen Caddy's The Dawn of Change)

how many of us can love until it hurts & still continue to love?? when humans are hurt, upset & utterly disappointed, don't we at times feel like giving up.. but being stubborn we, i guess we can never do so.. so let's be glad tat at least we can be hurtz :)

someone once told me this:
Live, knowing that u are loved unconditionally by God, and because of this, you can love others
because love and faithfulness are written on your heart, they are deep within you & secured.
Love is an act of faith. Thus, love and faithfulness go hand in hand, because u have to act in faith to love. You will never know how the other person u love will react, but you CHOOSE to love anyway.

What we can learn about lurve in the Bible:
1John 4
v12 "No one has ever seen God; if we love one another, God abides in us and His love is perfected in us."
v18 "There is no fear in love but perfect love casts out fear."
v19 "We love because He first loved us."

it's okay if you can't see the road ahead, just make sure God is still in sight!!

In His time, in His time,
He makes all things beautful in His time.
Lord, please show me every day,
As You're teaching me Your way,
That You do just what You say, in Your time.
In Your time, in Your time,
You make all things beautiful in Your time.
Lord, my life to You I bring.
May each song I have to sing
Be to You a lovely thing, in Your time.
