If you don't mean it, don't say it.
There is no need for obligations.
If you say it, mean it.
Otherwise, there is no point.

'xin si' means the heart & the mind are as one. What comes from the heart will be shown in one's action because that is where the truth can be seen clearly by all.

When you are happie, you can only think of the memorable times. By keep these memories repeated in the mind, a multiplier effect is created. Your mood, tempo, feeling, attitude, tone & level of tolerance will affect those around you directly.

Similarly, this can also happen when you are hurt & feel sad..
(just replace the above italics with them)

an interesting scenario..

Catch-22 has become a term, inspired by Joseph Heller's novel Catch-22, describing a general situation in which an individual has to accomplish two actions which are mutually dependent on the other action being completed first. A familiar example of this circumstance occurs in the context of job searching. In moving from school to a career, one may encounter a Catch-22 where one cannot get a job without work experience, but one cannot gain experience without a job.

Catch-22 considers the case of a U.S. Army Air Force bombardier who wishes to be excused from combat flight duty. In order to be excused from such duty, he must submit an official medical diagnosis from his squadron's flight surgeon, demonstrating that he is unfit because he is insane. However, according to Army regulations, any sane person would naturally not want to fly combat missions because they are so dangerous. By requesting permission not to fly combat missions, on the grounds of insanity, the bombardier demonstrates that he is in fact sane and therefore is fit to fly. Conversely, any flyer who wished to fly on combat runs implicitly demonstrated that he was insane and was unfit to fly and ought to be excused, and to be excused this person would only need to submit a request. Naturally, such flyers never submitted such requests. Of course, if they did, the "catch" would assert itself, short-circuiting any such attempt to escape from combat duty.

An alternative approach to the catch follows: sanity as a prerequisite to discovering one is insane. If one submits a request to stop flying because one is insane, it shows enough sanity to recognize one is insane. In other words, one has to be sane to recognize one's own insanity.
In other words, if one does ask to be excused, this is a sign of sanity, and therefore one cannot be excused. If one does not ask to be excused, one must be insane, but one cannot be excused without asking--in which case, of course, permission would be refused.

The Catch-22 problem can never be solved and one is always limited by these circumstances and these requirements.

However, in Heller's text, a meaning for Catch 22 beyond the realm of unsolvable logical bind exists. Although the rule is stated and restated in multiple ways, usually in the "damned if you do and damned if you don’t" form, in the final chapters it is restated simply as "anything can be done to you that you can not prevent," the logical conclusion being eventual destruction or assimilation ...unless one breaks out of the system entirely. The solution for Heller is, to borrow an old Prussian expression, die flucht nach vorne antreten - "to take flight (flee) forward" - decisively freeing oneself from a situation in which it is not possible to withdraw: deserting and fleeing to Sweden in the case of Heller’s hero Yossarian or, as another example, Javert’s release of Valjean in Les Miserables even though it costs Javert his own sense of identity resulting in his suicide.

wahahah the weekend is here..

During primary school, i was like superb free everyday until it became so boring. I don't rmb doing anything much nor do i enjoy the time.. alwax waiting for weekends to come because that means i can go home :D

Come secondary school, months seems to pass by slowly. However, i was still looking forward to the weekend because it gave me a break from school.

Now?

It is like living day by day. Weeks and months don't make much difference anymore.. there's endless stuffs to do & things happening everyday.. without knowing, i have come to the end of (almost) 2 years.. time passes real fast. weekend feels like a weekday & vice versa.. but nevertheless i still look forward to the weekends.. maybe only sundays :p

went to watch Lake House today finally at The Cathay!!

(spoiler) act i guessed that the guy who died in the accident was Alex right from the beginning *beams* haha budden the settings were rather cliched so it was quite predictable.. anyway the show is lovely.. like it but think i will like il mare (e original korean version) better when i watch it

e house by the lake is so beautiful -- The perfect house for mi (somewhat similar like the house in Full House) * if only i can have my house by the sea or beach (but of course not ECP that kind* hehe 'cept i rather mine not glass-paned. I still need my privacy..

hmm tot both of them won't meet till the end but they did met in between.. the past took into account what happens in the future ==> reminded me of Hermione turning back time in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban

feel like reading Persuasion to see what the 'waiting' story is about.. & i realised that i haven't finish reading Pride & Prejudice even tho' i started a few years back :l

haha adapted from HY : "Mindless eating - eating when we're not hungry. We mainly eat out of emotion rather than physical hunger, take mindless snacks & multitask while eating. It is difficult to identify true hunger. "

Spectator eating
For many of us, a bucket of popcorn at the cinema or a bowl of tortilla chips on the coffee table during a televised Champions league football match are part of the viewing experience. Eating while engrossed in something else (for example reading a book, working on the computer or writing up an essay) is an easy way to eat much more than you intended. At the end credits of the movie or the end of the game it's easy to look down and see that the entire bucket of popcorn or bowl of chips has been eaten without you even noticing.

yesh! that's me. i tend to eat while watching..

Boredom eating
It's amazing how, with nothing else to do, our thoughts turn to food. With nothing better to do, we can find ourselves in the kitchen checking out the fridge or cupboards. But this form of eating has nothing to do with hunger and everything to do with keeping ourselves occupied.

yesh! that's me. sometimes (esp during exams) i'll just keep finding food whilst studying..

Special occasion eating and drinking
Most people pile up the plate on Christmas Day, after all it is a special occasion. But for some people, "special occasions" come round rather more often - for instance, every Saturday night in the pub, or every time Coronation Street is on TV, or every time they've "conquered" the ironing.

yesh! that's me. there's always some special occasion going on, right?

Comfort eating
After an awful day at work, or a massive quarrel with your partner, it can feel as though you really deserve some nice food, whether you are hungry or not. Unfortunately comfort eating can have completely the reverse effect to the one we were craving. We have something to eat to cheer ourselves up, but we then remember that we shouldn't be eating and feel even worse than before, possibly driving us to eat even more.

yesh! that's me. if u're not happie & u know it, eat eat eat..

Treat eating
Everyone has foods that they really, really love. These are foods that we just can't resist if they are offered round in the office or appear on a restaurant menu. The sheer pleasure of eating these foods overrides our lack of hunger. For example, how much less hungry to do you need to be to eat icecream than to eat cabbage?

yesh! tat's me. well, they are my favs afterall..

http://www.bupa.co.uk/health_information/html/healthy_living/lifestyle/diet/guide/mindless.html

sometimes, i keep eating endlessly but not because the food is nice.. just tat subconsciously i feel tat i'll refrain from thinking by eating or it is the only thing i know/certain of..
think this is how gals get over their moods (esp when they are feelin' down).. cuz i found several of them who do the same!!

Gosh!! am i in trouble or am in trouble?? :s

"Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs."

I'm so creative.. of course i adapted my own 'lurve' version (not copy and paste from somewhere else).

sometimes i can be awfully quiet; not saying much or anything if i can help it..
perhaps i am

just tired (physically)

thinking of something (do not want to be disturbed)

adopting the don't-feel-like-talking stance (there's no reason why; or there's reasons which will not be known)

saw a duper cute caucasian baby ydae.. his smiles will just melt your heart away, with his eyes glistening at u.. heeZ took many pics of him!! hmm think that's enuff before u assume i am a baby~dophile

Anyway, babies do have it all good:
they cry when they want to
they eat when they need to
they poo when they have to
they smile when they feel like it
they sleep as & when they like

In a nutshell, they are so innocent & have no inkling to what's happening around them. Maybe that's why they can make people so happy just by looking at their behavior. Sometimes, we adore them for being so simple -- something we wish we could be.

What struck me most was this scene:
this particular baby was drooling on his mum's bare arms bud she didn't care much about it (not even a tissue to clean herself) & instead used her hands and wiped the drooling off the baby's mouth.

When i say drooling, i really meant drooling. It was literally puddles of saliva. Kudos to the mum! I am sure most humans' natural instinct would be to clean away the puddles immediately, if not at least use a tissue, cloth or whatever. Or maybe is most Asians' instinct??

A serious problem hygiene or a demonstration of love? It's your call..

Similarly, God's love for us is for all to see. Though He detests sins, He can still overlook our blemishes & love each and every one of us humans unconditionally. The Bible says more than 40 times that "His love endures forever".. This is the greatest lurve of all.

What is love??

Love is self-sacrificing.
Love is nothing without being loving.
It does not arise from motives.
It does not remember the hurtful past.
It is not jealousy.
It is not redundant.
It is not conditonal.
It is not about oneself.

The Keys to Your Heart

You are attracted to obedience and warmth.

In love, you feel the most alive when your lover is creative and never lets you feel bored.

You'd like your lover to think you are loyal and faithful... that you'll never change.

You would be forced to break up with someone who was emotional, moody, and difficult to please.

Your ideal relationship is traditional. Without saying anything, both of you communicate with your hearts.

Your risk of cheating is zero. You care about society and morality. You would never break a commitment.

You think of marriage as something that will confine you. You are afraid of marriage.

In this moment, you think of love as something you thirst for. You'll do anything for love, but you won't fall for it easily.
..2 of these doesn't apply to me at all..
take yr time to guess which 2 :p

it's okay if you can't see the road ahead, just make sure God is still in sight!!

In His time, in His time,
He makes all things beautful in His time.
Lord, please show me every day,
As You're teaching me Your way,
That You do just what You say, in Your time.
In Your time, in Your time,
You make all things beautiful in Your time.
Lord, my life to You I bring.
May each song I have to sing
Be to You a lovely thing, in Your time.
